Description El Coto was founded in 1970 and have become one of the best known producers in Rioja. The Coto de Imaz wines are made from the best Tempranillo grapes grown in El Coto’s vineyard in Cenicero, Rioja Alta. This Rioja reserva is 100% Tempranillo and spends 18 months in American oak barrels before being kept in bottle for a further 18 months before it is released for sale. Intense ripe cherry and spice aromas are complimented with a full bodied red fruit palate with notes of spice and toasty oak. Perfect with slow cooked lamb.
