Order via WhatsAppDescription Producer Profile – Dandelion Vineyards Barossa Shiraz Winemaker: Elena Brooks was immersed in winemaking from an early age in her native Bulgaria and made her first wine at the age of 16. After completing her formal winemaking studies, she settled in South Australia with her husband Zar where they founded Dandelion Vineyards to make wine from the McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Barossa and Eden Valley. Vineyard & Winemaking: The fruit for the Lionheart Shiraz is sourced from ancient, gnarly, low-yield vines, some as much as 100 years old. The fruit was hand harvested and basket pressed into old and new French oak barrique where it rested for 18 months prior to bottling. Tasting Notes: A deep colour and spicy, black fruit nose leads to a fulsome palate of plum, prunes, dark chocolate and white pepper notes wrapped with creamy oak. Food Pairing: Perfect with BBQ short rib of beef.
