Reserva Carmenere 2023, Ch. Los Boldos, Cachapoal Valley, Chile

Description Chile is a superb wine country with wonderful attributes to produce outstanding wine. It also has the Carmenere variety; it’s own indigenous super grape! Carmenere stars at Chateau Los Boldos, a 170ha estate in the verdunt Cachapoal Valley. Though established in 1948, it is since 2008 with investment from the Sogrape company & expertise in the vineyard from consultant Pedro Parra, that Chateau Los Boldos has reached it full potential. This Carmenere is full in colour and the nose exudes lashing of blackberry and black pepper character. The palate is plump & succulent with ripe blackcurrant, plum and black cherry fruit balanced with gentle soft tannins.
