Framingham Sauvignon Blanc 2024, Marlborough, New Zealand
Order via WhatsAppDescription The Framingham Estate is home to some of the best wines to be found in the Marlborough district. Their fame was built on old vine Riesling from their 19.5 hectare estate but now it is their Sauvignon Blanc which is winning high praise from the wine press and customers alike. Framingham’s Marlborough Sauvignon puts an exciting spin on the classic style. Grapes sourced from the Wairau and Waihopai valleys undergo different processes. Most of the grapes are fermented in stainless steel but a small percentage is fermented on the skins and in oak and acacia barrels. These components are blended and the final wine is aged for 6 months on it’s lees to achieve extra layers of flavour and texture. The nose is bright and fresh with pronounced lemon peel aromas, the palate is broad, ripe and fruit filled with notes of passion fruit, peach and grapefruit. An excellent aperitif or perfect with smoked salmon or smoked fish dishes. Highly recommended!
