Description Coming from the classic area in Austria for premium Riesling, Niederösterreich, this wine is a classic Austrian Riesling from a forward thinking producer. Funkstille meaning ‘radio silence’, these wines are a real discovery and each vintage as great as the last. This certified sustainably grown Riesling comes from 15 year old vines in the village of Weinvietel, on a granite mix soil. Produced in a energy neutral winery, it is fermented in stainless steel but benefits from 8 weeks of lees contact. A nose of white peach and apricot compote is followed by vibrant palate of green apple, sherbet lemon and nectarine fruit.
