Description Cantina di Gambellara is a cooperative winery founded in 1947. Today it has nearly 300 members who farm 600 hectares on the border between the provinces of Vicenza and Verona, only a few miles east of Soave. The grapes are harvested early in the morning when temperatures are cooler, to retain the fresh fruit characters. Once at the winery, they are then carefully sorted and then gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at controlled cool temperatures. Finally, the wine is gently filtered and clarified, and then bottled. This is an excellent quality Pinot Grigio with rounded aromas of wild flowers, peaches and apple. The palate is full with broad, ripe flavours of apricot, citrus and a touch of dry honey. Highly recommended!
