Description Torre del Falasco Garganega Verona IGT by Cantina Valpantena, Veneto, Italy Winemaker / Producer: The Torre del Falasco Garganega is produced by the Cantina Valpantena, considered by many to be the finest cooperative producer in the Veneto. Garganega is the indigenous grape variety of the Veneto, giving wonderful quality and character to many of the region’s white wines, including Soave. Vineyard & Winemaking: The Valpantena valley, known to the ancient Greeks as the ‘valley of gods’, sits north of Verona, sheltered by hills and cooled by breezes from the Dolomite foothills. The Garganega vines grow on limestone-rich soils that lend a distinctive mineral character to the wine. Tasting Notes: The nose sings of citrus fruit and acacia flowers, whilst the palate is ripe and textured with balancing lemon peel acidity. Food Pairing: Try with grilled sea bass or fresh seafood pasta. This Italian white wine is also a perfect match for creamy risotto and light antipasti.
