Vintage Blue Wedgewood Jasperware Assorted Set

Description A beautiful assortment of blue and white Wedgewood Jasperware pieces. In this mixed set are 6 small dishes with a different design on each. 3 of the dishes are round, one is a fluted oval shape, one is an attractive leaf/club shape and the other is a lid to a trinket dish. No visible signs of chips or cracks seen. One dish has slight staining on the back. Please look at our other listings for other pieces from the Wedgewood Jasperware range. Jasperware is a type of pottery first developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s. Usually described as stoneware, it has an unglazed matte “biscuit” finish and is produced in a number of different colours, of which the most common and best known is a pale blue that has become known as Wedgwood Blue Relief decorations in contrasting colours (typically in white but also in other colours) are characteristic of Jasperware, giving a cameo effect.
