Vintage Johnson Brothers Old English Chadwell Plate

Description A vintage plate in the Chadwell pattern from Johnson Brothers’ Old English line. The base is a light ivory with maroon red and gold banding. The rim has a wide band of gold filigree. The center has a floral display with multi-coloured flowers. It has decorative gadroon edging like inverted fluting or rope style. It is stamped on the back with a crown, Old English, 4 R, Johnson Bros, Made In England. There are 3 scratches in the back of the plate where a wall plate hanger has been but otherwise no other chips or cracks seen. The chips are shown in the photographs.
